Depth and Simplicity

I feel a whole story through this simple picture : The hand limp and lifeless having dropped the coins on the table in despair... Can you imagine the rest ?

Wintery sky

A desperate battle between the dying-out sun and the threatening clouds, low and dense, absorbing light and creating blackness.

Mystery mountain

With my cousins and sister, we used to call this moutain "la montagne au chat" (the cat mountain), imposing in somber light, glorious in birght sunshine.

My cousin's eyes

My cousin's blue eyes to eat you up in the sunny light : I love the contrasts and the intensity.

My best friend

She won't often let me take pictures of her, but if I could I wouldn't stop !
Always magnificient, half-hiding, in very low light, with a patient expression in her big chesnut eyes.

My little brother yet again

Conscientiously covering his eyes to sing, but curiosity was too strong...

I took this picture in March in front of my High School, it's crooked, the centering is strange, but for some reason, I still like it very much...

Spring

A fine, luminous April day, just perfect for a walk in the lovely park near where I live.

Summer

I desire summer, the more I desire it, the cloudier the skies are, pulling it away from me pitylessly. Where is the warm feeling of sun on your bare skin, the tender breeze which wraps you up ?

Paris

My favorite monument, triumphant, glorious, magnificient, and hard to take a nice picture of (I have dozens !)

My little brother

Alex, during the shabbat celebration, pensive and intense. Intense is normal, quiet is not, this picture is precious.

Living dangerously

The sun was just timidly showing itself, the air was still cool, but it didn't seem to bother him, he was sleeping peacefully in a most unpeaceful position, fearless.

What if this was his story ?

Yet another contradiction

flower snow winter natacha colmez
I love all the contrasts one can find in nature. This particular picture was taken on a freezing day in October, the snow had caught the flowers before they could even die out, Autumn was not even ready yet to leave its throne to Winter, but it sprung on us one morning with no warning ; and even today, we can still feel it in the air...

Joy of colour

Flowers are so satisfyingly easy to take. I love spring.

The beauty of contradiction

When light and water come together and create colour out of thin air...
Nothing's dreamier than a rainbow.

Plunging into a new world

That is exactly what it felt like entering the stalactite cave, enveloped in soft, fuzzy humidity with a bitter-sweet smell of earth and the occasional musical drops of water ; a fantasy world of psychedelic, towering, and fascinating sculptures.

An Israeli sunset

Yes, I know... All sunsets are the same. Look closer...
I'd never seen such an incredible sunset : the clouds after the rain completely tormented, the crashing waves below, the boat, trapped far away on the horizon by the closing-in darkness, and two little children running around in the sand, oblivious to the cool wind and sticky humidity... Tel-Aviv will always remain this way in my dreamy mind.

Hesitant

My first steps in a world of blogs... Just out of laziness to finish what I have started elsewhere.
It always seems easier to create something new. There's a mysterious and exciting side to it ; when no risk is implied, you feel you could do anything ; discovery is exhilarating, exhilaration gives you power.
